Equipment

On the technical setup:

I currently use a MacBook Pro with Embrace as my DJ software, and "Swinsian" to manage my music. Unfortunately Apple's switch from iTunes to Music broke the search function beyond usefulness for me. I also use "Yate" as a tagging tool, "beaTunes" for various metadata enrichment, and "Traktor" for BPM detection.

Audio output runs through an RME Babyface (an audio interface with excellent digital-to-analogue converters); for on-the-fly sound adjustments I also have an EQ (Fabfilter Pro-Q3) and a compressor (FMR Audio RNC-1773 as hardware, or MUJC as software) in the chain. For larger events I can also bring along a room measurement/correction system.
